【 Rare Earth Weekly Review 】 Market deadlock and light trading volume

This week: (9.18-9.22)

(1) Weekly Review

In the rare earth market, the overall focus of this week’s market is on a “stable” character, with no significant changes in prices. However, from the perspective of sentiment and market conditions, there is a trend towards weak development. Although the National Day holiday is approaching, the overall market inquiry performance is not active, and the news is affecting. Many companies have lost confidence in the future market. The market transaction situation this week was not as expected, and the focus of conversation has also shifted downward. In the short term, The stable market may continue, with praseodymium neodymium oxide currently priced at around 520000 yuan/ton and praseodymium neodymium metal priced at around 635000 yuan/ton.

In terms of medium and heavy rare earths, dysprosium and terbium are operating relatively strong, with market heat still remaining and inquiry activity showing decent performance. In terms of holmium and gadolinium, with a slight pullback in the rare earth praseodymium neodymium market, companies have low purchasing intentions and few transactions. Currently, the main heavy rare earth prices are: dysprosium oxide 2.65-268 million yuan/ton, dysprosium iron 2.55-257 million yuan/ton; 8.5-8.6 million yuan/ton of terbium oxide and 10.4-10.7 million yuan/ton of metallic terbium; 64-650000 yuan/ton of holmium oxide, 65-665000 yuan/ton of holmium iron; Gadolinium oxide costs 300000 to 305000 yuan/ton, and gadolinium iron costs 285000 to 295000 yuan/ton.

(2) Aftermarket analysis

Overall, in terms of overall procurement and sales this week, the activity level is not high. The second batch of rare earth mining and smelting indicators are approaching, and most enterprises are also waiting, keeping a wait-and-see attitude. The market still lacks support from positive news, and it is expected that the short-term market will mainly operate in a stable and volatile manner.
