Apple will achieve full use of recycled rare earth element neodymium iron boron by 2025

Apple announced on its official website that by 2025, it will achieve the use of 100% recycled cobalt in all Apple designed batteries. At the same time, magnets (i.e. neodymium iron boron) in Apple devices will be completely recycled rare earth elements, and all Apple designed printed circuit boards will use 100% recycled tin solder and 100% recycled gold plating.

According to the news on Apple’s official website, over two-thirds of aluminum, nearly three-quarters of rare earths, and over 95% of tungsten in Apple products currently come from 100% recycled materials. In addition, Apple has promised to remove plastic from the packaging of its products by 2025.
