Rare earth market weekly report from December 18th to 22nd, 2023: Rare earth prices continue to decline

Summary of Rare Earth Market

This week, except for lanthanum cerium products, rare earth prices continued to decline, mainly due to insufficient terminal demand. As of the publication date, praseodymium neodymium metal is priced at 535000 yuan/ton, dysprosium oxide is priced at 2.55 million yuan/ton, and terbium oxide is priced at 7.5 million yuan/ton.

At present, the border between China and Myanmar is in a closed state. According to data from the General Administration of Customs in November, the import volume of rare earth raw materials in China increased by 3513.751 tons compared to the previous month.

Meanwhile, the total amount of rare earth mining in the third batch increased by 15000 tons of oxides. The above data can fully demonstrate that the market has sufficient goods and the driving force for the rise in rare earth prices is relatively small.
