(1) Rare earth mineral products
China’s rare earth resources not only have large reserves and complete mineral types, but are also widely distributed in 22 provinces and regions across the country. At present, the main rare earth deposits that are being extensively mined include Baotou mixed rare earth ore, ion adsorption rare earth ore represented by Jiangxi and Guangdong, and fluorocarbon ore represented by Mianning, Sichuan. Correspondingly, the main rare earth ore products are also divided into three categories: fluorocarbon ore – monazite mixed rare earth ore (Baotou rare earth concentrate), southern ion type rare earth concentrate, and fluorocarbon ore (Sichuan mine)

(2) Diluted metallurgical products

The rare earth industry in China is steadily developing, technological progress is accelerating, the industrial chain is constantly extending, and the industrial structure and product structure are constantly adjusting. Currently, it has become more reasonable. High purity and single rare earth products have reached over half of the total commodity volume, basically meeting the needs of domestic and foreign markets. (3) Rare metal and Alloys

Rare earth metals and alloys were initially mainly used in the metallurgical and mechanical manufacturing industries. For many years, China’s rare earth metal industry has relied on its abundant rare earth resources, low production costs, and continuous improvement in preparation technology and product quality. Especially in recent years, with the increasing demand in the product application market, the rare earth metal industry has developed rapidly and production has increased rapidly.

Since the 1980s, the application of rare metals in the field of rare functional materials has developed rapidly. In the 1990s, with the rapid rise of the electronic information industry, the production of iron boron permanent magnet materials and rare earth hydrogen storage materials showed stable growth.

The continuous improvement of the performance of rare earth functional materials has put forward higher requirements for the quality of rare earth metal products as raw materials for rare earth functional materials. The production of rare earth hydrogen storage materials requires the use of mixed rare earth metals produced using fluoride system molten salt electrolysis production technology with high product purity. With the continuous expansion of the application field of iron boron permanent magnet materials, the metal prepared by calcium thermal reduction method has been replaced by iron and cobalt alloys produced by fluoride system molten salt electrolysis. The molten salt electrolysis production technology of nitride system has gradually become the mainstream technology for the production of rare earth metals and alloys used in rare earth functional materials.

(4) Other products

There are a wide variety of rare earth products with a wide range of uses. In addition to the above products, there are rare earth dryers, additives used in paints and coatings, rare earth stabilizers and rare earth modifiers, and anti-aging modification of plastics, nylon, etc. With the continuous development of new rare earth materials, their application scope is also expanding, and the market is also constantly expanding.
